Dora the Explorer Invitations- HELP NEEDED!

Call me crazy, but when I decide to tackle a big project, I start early. Like, ridiculously early…

Lucas’s birthday will be in May. We hummed and hawed about whether or not we wanted to even have a party. Last year, we just spend his birthday taking family photos and spending time together. It was the best decision we made. No stress. Less money spent. No drama from family members. It was perfect!

However, thinking about him getting older and more “with it” we decided to take on the venture of a party.  It all started when we went to a family friend’s child’s birthday party. There was pure chaos and I was very glad we chose not to have a party for a one year old. Then, the piñata came out. Oh my goodness, Lucas had SO much fun!!! That is when the wheels started turning and we created a few ground rules…

1. Nothing too crazy or expensive.

2. Primarily homemade decorations and party favors.

3. Two year old friendly.

4. If this party decor and prep isn’t fun, then we will readdress the decision to have  a party.

With these ground rules in place, I started creating away! Yes, I have 4 months to go. However, I KNOW if I wait too long the last ground rule will be broken because I HATE feeling rushed. When I put my mind to something, I want to take my time to create the thing that I can.

So, that leaves me with this blog post… I need YOUR help!

We have decided the theme will be “Dora the Explorer”, because he absolutely loves her. I’m not sure how that happened, because we rarely watch T.V. but he constantly asks for Dora. We tried “Go Diego Go!” and it wasn’t a huge hit. So, we have stuck with “Dora the Explorer.”

With that in mind… I have created some invitations and I need your advice on which is best. I decided to great three designs. Why you ask? I have no clue. I just thought I might not like them if I did just one!

Please comment below on which invitation you like the most. I greatly appreciate your input! I’ve never done this before so my ideas might be a bit newbie style, but I’m proud of them. 🙂 I can’t decide which one, because I love them all… *I’m biased over here, because I designed them*

Option 2

*In this option, I’m going to place a picture of Lucas and our house above the clock to indicate clues to where they’re going. This is something that happens on the Dora show*
